Dora Wirth Languages (DWL) is proud to have been selected as the preferred language service provider for the “Eurotherm3235 Trial“, sponsored by the University of Edinburgh and NHS Lothian, examining the effects of titrated therapeutic hypothermia (32-35°C) in the treatment of raised intracranial pressure after traumatic brain injury.
Over 1,000,000 patients with traumatic brain injury are admitted to hospitals each year within the European Union alone. It is a major cause of death and severe disability worldwide, thus the economic and social costs are considerable.
As of January 2014, more than 40 sites worldwide have randomised patients, and to date 309 patients have been recruited to the trial*. It is hoped that 600 patients will eventually be recruited.

Since the beginning of the trial in 2009, DWL has conducted around 40 clinical trial translation assignments for the Eurotherm Trial Office, involving the translation and/or localisation of many different documents, including:
